Standing on a prominent corner of Beechgrove Terrace and Midstocket Road at the top end of the Rosemount area, this former Bank of Scotland premises was re-fitted and opened in early December 2017. Smart, modern pub with triangular bar and tables around the sides and seating at the bar. Unusually there are a couple of tables between the main outside door and the internal door. Breakfasts served from 8am to 11am and main meals through until 9pm when the kitchen closes. There is also the Picken Room, a private dining room seating up to 12 diners. 19 Market Street, Aberdeen AB11 5PY
BrewDog (Union Square)
Union Square, First Level Mall, Guild Square, Aberdeen AB11 5RG
This Latest BrewDog, opened in Union Square mid November 2018 looks more like a restaurant as one enters and it is laid out with many booths and tabled seating. However, you are more than welcome to come in for a drink only and there is an unusual seated area consisting of three large steps complete with cushions on the right hand side. The usual burgers and pizzas as you would expect to be served in a BrewDog pub are available. So called 'live ale' not always available.
Esslemont Bar & Restaurant
38 Union Street, Aberdeen AB10 1BD
Pub/restaurant situated in the former Esslemont & Mackintosh department store. Upstairs is Mac's Pizzeria so called as the owning company is McGintys! Opened on Friday 23rd August and unfortunately is not stocking Real Ale as most of the other pubs in the group do. There is not enough room on the bar for hand-pumps and the cellar is tiny. Williams Joker IPA is available on keg, however.
Draft Project
