A welcoming country village inn of character dating from the 17th century. The building wraps around a large tree and features low-beamed ceilings. There is a cosy bar area with exposed brick and an open fire, plus two intimate separate dining rooms. Three real ales are on offer in this free house, including two from Dark Horse brewery. Food is served Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime (booking advisable).
