This very small Edwardian pub full of character has nationally important Grade II* historic interior (1903), with central bar supplying two small rooms and side corridor. Can get full so entry may be restricted at busy times. Has enforced house rules and a strict no-groups policy. Permanent beers are complemented by great range of rotating guests through seven handpulls. Bar snacks and pork pies available. A charismatic landlord and friendly staff along with welcoming atmosphere led to Winter 2016 Pub of the Season.
