Built around 1780, this Grade II listed former coaching inn is popular with locals, boaters, ramblers and cyclists, as it is close to the Staffordshire & Worcestershire canal and Smestow Valley Nature Reserve. It comprises a lively bar with local banter, a games room and a more sedate snug. Quizzes are held on Tuesdays and a darts team plays on Wednesdays. It hosts charity dog shows and, weekly, the local pigeon flyers’ club.
