Severn Valley Railway Station, Hollybush Road, Bridgnorth. WV16 5DT

Opening hours

mon - sun: 11:00 - 23:00

The Railwaymans Arms opened in 1861 as a refreshment room a year before the railway itself and has never closed. It is situated on platform 1 of the heritage railway in Bridgnorth. There are nine handpumps serving a selection of local and national real ales, one serving cider or perry. The bars contain lots of railway memorabilia and the platform drinking area is an ideal place to soak up the atmosphere of a steam railway. Very popular at weekends and holidays. There are plans for a major refurbishment in 2022 when the two rooms will increase to three. Opens at 10am daily including Sunday whilst trains are running daily.
