Olde Windmill

Welcoming 400-year-old country pub, with smartly attired staff and equally sharp food and drink offerings. Free of tie, the two guest ales are usually interesting microbrews. The cosy bar is dog-friendly, while the wood-panelled lounge offers freshly cooked meals including interesting specials. Both rooms feature old beams (some cleverly fake!) and open fires. A number of teams use the Crown bowling green. The pub is 100 yards from the stump of an old disused windmill.
