Village local close to multi-use Cannock Chase Forest. The pub gives equal emphasis to beer in the bar, and food in the separate restaurant area. The single guest ale is often from Wye Valley or Bathams. The favoured pub game here is dominoes, unless TV sports kicks in. In winter the bar features a splendid open fire, while a large garden to the rear offers a peaceful summer retreat. No food is served on Mondays.
