Large roadside pub dating from 1899 with a traditional public bar which has large TV screens for sporting events, a lounge with open fire that is popular with diners, and a separate upstairs function room which has a pool table and is served from its own bar. The rare ceramic-fronted bar counter in the public bar is one of a small number remaining nationally. The Victorian richly-moulded bar back is also particularly impressive. The interior and exterior are Grade II listed.
