An isolated hillside inn, a former cider mill which achieved national fame in 1991 when it temporarily became the Miners Arms as the coalmines were being closed wholesale. The no-frills, high-ceilinged main room has stone walls and a large wood-burner. An archway leads through to another drinking area and a patio, from which there are superb views, particularly sunsets, over west Herefordshire and into Wales. Complimentary bar snacks are often provided, and live music occasionally.
