This is popular local pub. Dating from 1700 and known locally as ‘the stone’. Totally refurbished and reopened December 2016. It has very attractive stone flag 'style' flooring and a fascinating collection of seating, from cosy wall benches to stools. The internal walls have many interesting architectural features. A comfy pub to have a good chin-wag in. Bar snacks usually available. Some lovely walks along the canal and in Haigh Hall Country Park only minutes away.
