Bradley Arms

Opening hours

Orignally known as the Sun Inn, a lovely old ex-farm building with several rooms & levels. this inn has a rich history and was a key location in the infamous Featherstone Massacre of 1893, the last occasion on which British troops shot and killed British citizens on English soil. Here was made the first ever speech on workers' rights, by Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham, co-founder of the Scottish Labour Party who also spoke here at the time of the massacre. Carved into the mantelpiece are his words "Revolutions are not made with rosewater". Keir Hardy also spoke here. Hours shown are those for which pub is licensed.
