a lovely building, dating from 17th Century standing in at least an acre of leafy grounds at the edge of Sharlston Common, close by is Sharlston Old Hall dating from 16th C; ents licence Fri & Sat eves Said to be haunted by a benevolent ghost. In 1948 the building was condemned due to mining subsidence!
