Refurbished in Summer 2019 to give a brighter feel and nestling in a cul-de-sac on the edge of north Warrington, this pub is popular for both beer and food. The modern, open-plan interior complements the pub's 1774 origins. A large outdoor drinking/dining area is a further attraction. Part of the Flaming Grill chain, food is served until 10pm (9pm Sun). Children are welcome until 9pm. Use Bus no. 26 on Sundays. 26E and 27E run evenings only. At least one of the guest beers is normally Timothy Taylor Landlord whilst the House beer is from Greene King.
