Legh Arms

Following periods of closure the pub reopened in May 2014. The new licensees aim to restore the community feel to this old pub which in early days was named the Sword and Serpent, as depicted on the pub logo. The interior is on two levels, basically open plan but with screened areas to give some segregation, the walls displaying a varied array of pictures, mirrors and ornaments. There is a very large beer garden converted from the original bowling green, and it is intended that a marquee will be purchased to accommodate outdoor functions. It is hoped that a beer, named Sword & Serpent, will eventually be brewed by Marston's as a house beer which will feature as one of the guest beers.
