Lord Eldon

This 300 year old pub has a lovely exterior with a sundial and hanging baskets. The surprisingly spacious interior has a large bar area with real fire and three rooms, two small and one large, leading from it. The low beams and impressive collection of brasses and pictures give a cosy feel to the pub, the local atmosphere being apparent when darts or dominoes are in progress. Live music features on two nights a week in the large room, open mike on Thursdays and live bands on Saturdays. A quiz is held on Tuesdays. At least one of the guest ales is usually from a Cheshire brewery, and the Tetley is available at reduced price up to 7pm on week days. Cash Only.
