Owned by Greene King this roadside pub adjoins a 28 room now independent Casa Mere Hotel. The garden includes a play area. Formerly the Tabley Court House this 17th century building was associated with Dick Turpin and claims to be one of the oldest licensed houses in Britain. A warren of rooms with timber much to the fore, low beams and tiled floors, it is largely food-based and opens early for breakfast. It is lifted by the presence of three guest beers from a moderately extensive list.
