Opening hours

This small family-run free house is a must-visit location for anyone interested in the history of brewing, especially Bass. It is a treasure-trove of memorabilia, inside and out; understandably, there is a nautical theme too. Licensed in 1772 and called the Centurion until 1815. Rebuilt in 1887. Apart form two real ales and a number of keg beers, a large selection of whiskies is on offer. Whilst the pub no longer does food, customers may bring in their own, or have it delivered to the pub, including from the Vietnamese restaurant next door.
