Barley Mow

Opening hours

One of the oldest surviving pubs in Marylebone, dating from 1791 and grade II listed. The interior, consisting of the main bar and a small snug (with a book exchange) at the rear, retains its original matchboard panelling, now displaying prints of 18th century Marylebone, and, most notably, two small drinking compartments fronting the main bar counter. Both bars, with their part bare wood, part carpeted floors, are furnished with upholstered pews, benches and stools. Discreetly positioned screens and an eclectic selection of background music complete the ambiance. Food, from a short menu of homemade items, is offered on weekday lunchtimes only.
