Originally licensed in 1683 as the Dolphin, the current building dates from 1900 and is Grade II-listed; the name was changed to Nellie Dean of Soho in 1967. The pub now offers up to five real ales and reasonably priced food, very largely Pieminster pies. The upstairs bar has a pool table and can be hired for functions. The pub can become very crowded and customers may spill out onto the pavement. Note that the toilets are down a quite narrow flight of stairs.
