Dating back at least 200 years, this popular community local maintains a traditional atmosphere despite extensive changes over the years. The Victorian painted glass panels can still be seen behind the bar. The first floor has four ensuite bedrooms providing B&B accommodation. A changing menu of home-cooked food is served until 10pm (not Sun eve). Tuesday is quiz night and live music is performed regularly. The pub is prominently situated between converging roads. Front patio area and free WiFi. Pub reopened 2nd Feb 2018 after a major restoration. Pub now owned by Punch Pubs & Co after Young's disposal of 56 of their tenanted pubs in August 2021. Currently no food being served, but hopefully this will change before too long.
