Set in rolling countryside and located in a quiet rural village this 250 year old inn was an ale house before that. Named after the wheel on which St Catherine was martyred in the third century. This pub is an ideal base for walking and provides good home cooking. Just 2 miles away from Hothfield Common that is now a nature reserve with mosses. dragonflies, orchids and other fauna and flora.
The pub is still owned by Shepherd Neame but is now free of tie.
