Talbot Inn

Opening hours

Comfortable unspoilt pub in the centre of the town noted for its ales and good value food. Entrance off the road is through a covered passageway and into either of two doors which lead to a medium sized but cosy bar area dominated by a large inglenook fireplace. There is also a dining area towards the front of the building with a gas log-effect open fire, but meals are served in all parts of the pub. The pub does not have its own car park, but there is a public pay & display car park at the rear which is accessed off St Mary's Road (no charge after 6pm or on Sundays) From the car park you enter a long neatly laid out patio / garden with an abundance of tables and benches. This enclosed area is a delightful suntrap in the summer. Accommodation is at the rear of the garden.
