An 18th-century free house which has been in the same family ownership for over 30 years. There are traditional beamed areas on split levels with a real fire and a separate restaurant. In contrast there is a modern skittle alley/function room at the rear. Good home-cooked food is served, with meals and ales available to take away. Wilkins cider on tap. Regular live music and monthly pub quiz night. Close to Ham Wall and Shapwick Heath nature reserves.
