Crown & Anchor Vaults

Know locally as The Vaults, with its sawdust and bare boards flooring, this is unashamedly a no frills pub. Extensive alterations to the interior have created an open space around the central bar so that customers can appreciate the pub's regular music sessions. Unusual ceiling decoration in the form of Long Player records. Very much a mecca for the local south Shropshire music scene with regular events held on the inside and outside stages. The effort that has gone into the creation of the rear courtyard would seem to have been worthwhile. Participates in the annual Bishops Castle beer festival held each July. The Mojo Coffee Shop has gone, but people are welcome to bring in food from the local takeaways (Apr 2016).
