Green Dragon

The Green Dragon, after having been closed for renovation, reopened under new ownership in October 2011. The bar area is L-shaped and is tastefully done out giving a comfortable and welcoming feel. A pleasant separate dining room has also been created. As part of the refurbishment, the original red tile and parquet floors have been exposed. As it's situated in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there's an abundance of walks in the area. Local cider is available at appropriate times of the year. Once owned by the Wrekin Brewery of Wellington. Runner up in the local CAMRA Branch's Rural Pub of the Year competition (2016). it is re-establishing itself as a Good Beer Guide regular, having made a dozen appearances over the years.
