A two roomed village local which was leased to Darwin Inns for a short time, but reverted to Admiral Taverns ownership in July 2013. Since then, its had new management in November 2013. The public bar was decorated and is now a comfortable place, especially since it has a real fire for winter. Apart from that it has the darts board and terrestrial TV, The lounge doubles as the dining room where Sunday lunches in particular are popular. Note that the pub opens at 9am for breakfasts during the week, but alcohol is served from 11am. Over time, has been in the ownership of a brace of local breweries, the Wrekin Brewery of Wellington, together with the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery.
