Opposite Owain Glyndwr's Parliament House on the town's broad main street, this traditional free house offers two bars: on one side darts and jukebox, on the other a pool table and log fire in winter. Real cider is often available in summer. Bar meals are served at irregular times (Sunday lunch is particularly popular), but best to check in advance for availability. The building was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in 1911 with the present magnificent frontage. Look above the fireplace in the right hand bar for "Before" and "After" pictures.
