Purchased by the local community, and re-opened after a period of closure and renovation in May 2018. The 175 local shareholders of this delightful 17th century pub must be well pleased with the transformation that has taken place, and it is now the real hub of this local community with a fortnightly bridge club, a monthly book club and a monthly quiz. The former lounge is now a pleasant dining room/lounge, and an Italian chef has been hired. To complement the 4 real ales on offer, a Gin Bar has been added, with a 'gin of the month' offering. The Beer Garden has also received some attention, and has been updated with a superb display of wild flowers, adding colour and interest throughout the summer.
