Boathouse

Essentially a Cafe/Restaurant/Visitor Centre owned by Shropshire Council but run under contract by a local couple. It comprises a Cafe area alongside the restaurant, where the bar is situated (single handpump) with a more secluded dining area at the side overlooking the Mere. All inside tables are laid out for food, so seating is at a premium during the height of the tourist season, but there is plenty of outside seating when the weather is favourable. The Cafe is open from 8.30am to 4.30 p.m. There is marked differential in the price of a half of cask beer as opposed to a pint. 75 pence extra for two halves. (March 2019)
