Reopened in October 2017 after an extensive refurbishment, the focus of this restaurant is now the bar complete with an impressive brass canopy. Otherwise decorated in blue, green and pink, the site’s heritage is recognised with Sir Hans Sloane inspired prints and botanical tiling. No real ales are offered, but, along with keg Long Arm Lucky Penny PA and Lagunitas IPA, there is a range of bottled/canned beers from the Long Arm and Siren breweries, as well as Orchard Thieves Cider, available. There is an all-day bar menu and the restaurant menu featuring brasserie-style offerings of “refined” modern European dishes, is also available at the bar. Bottomless brunch available weekends. NB under the terms of the licence alcohol cannot be sold before 10am.
