Rose & Crown

Opening hours

Unpretentious corner local built in 1933 as part of residential block. Half panelled and tastefully refurbished in 2010 with maroon and green decor, yellow ceiling, film star photographs and original tiffany lampshades restored, it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere for a mixed local clientele including Chelsea Pensioners who enjoy discounts. Newspapers, jukebox and pool table are available, and a small television for rugby matches on terrestrial channels. Previously leased to a Miss Fitzgerald who married a Scots Guardsman and left the place in a mess. It could be like a Wild West saloon when the barracks were nearby.
