Crane

Opening hours

Pub reverted to its original name when it reopened with new tenants in September 2016 after a high quality refurbishment. The Crane is officially the oldest pub in Wandsworth, built in 1738. The cask ales are complemented by a selection of keg and bottled beers and a carefully selected choice of wines and spirits. The food offering specialises in gourmet burgers and classic pizzas with a strong emphasis on fresh produce. No food Mondays. A big screen TV in the lounge area shows major sporting events on terrestrial TV. The pub is dog friendly. The Crane is said to be home to two ghosts. The pub’s bar is haunted by one - a pot boy wearing knickerbockers - and one of the attic rooms has a lady who seems to pass through a wall. Had previously suffered total internal destruction by flooding on 20 July 2007 after which it was fully re-fitted with new floors, panelling, furniture and equipment. Heated covered area outside for smokers. Was the Armoury for a few years.
