Formerly known as The Rose and Crown, this pub is set in the Staffordshire Moorlands, and was built in 1840 on the site of a much older pub. Since its refurbishment, the pub has been free of tie; re-opened in summer 2010, it is now one large room, with the bar at one end that contains six handpumps. Beers come from local and other micro-breweries, plus some interesting whiskies are stocked.
AWARDS: Staffordshire Moorlands Sub Branch Pub of the Season (Autumn 2017).
