1980s estate pub purpose-built by Robinsons to cope with the new influx of residents; the name comes from James Brindley's original prototype canal lock, which was discovered during construction and now lies under the car park. A single, open-plan room inside, with a games area at the rear and a small restaurant under the conservatory dome.
