Wellers

Opening at the beginning of November 2016, this small pub is located at the bottom of Pepper Street next to Blacks Menswear and showcases the multiple gold national award winning beers from Weal Ales Brewery, based a few miles away in Chesterton. Smart, modern and comfortable inside, the pub is named after the legendary Paul Weller, as is the brewery's flagship beer, Weller Weal. Of the six handpulls, four are nationally sourced rotating guests. Two real ciders are offered as are two craft keg beers, a keg lager, plus a wide selection of national and international craft ales in cans and bottles. All of Weal Ales’ own range of beers are available in bottles either individually or in presentation packs. Third pint tasting paddles are available as are four-pint takeouts. Speciality gins and vodkas are also available. No food is served but customers are welcome to bring their own and eat it with a purchased drink or two. There is a regular quiz on Thursday evenings and some selected free-to-air sports events are shown. There are occasional live music events showcasing the best of local talent.
