The Cock was originally a farmhouse with a brewhouse added in the nineteenth century. After a few uncertain years the pub became a freehouse and reopened in 2012. It has one large, comfortable room with two open fires. It has been extended and a dining room added, opening in autumn 2016. The pub has darts and domino teams, is home to the Woodseaves FC, and is dog friendly. As well as a good selection of ales they have a wide range of malt whiskys, 52 at the last count. A takeaway menu is available. The Shropshire Union Canal is within walking distance (half mile).
