This Wetherspoon pub derives its name from the milliners shop that was next door and from the Doggarts store that occupied the site from the 1920s to the 1980s which had a department selling hats and feathers. Upstairs are old photographs depicting the headgear of the best dressed ladies of the time. Other interesting pictures show the past history of Seaham. The furnishings are a mix of modern and traditional styles, with a selection of wooden chairs and deep comfortable settees. Outside is a plaque giving a history of the building.
