The pub offers up to four cask ales and meals every day with a Sunday carvery and Wednesday Carvery between 12-2 & 4-7. There is a large specials blackboard over the fireplace Popular on Sunderland AFC match days, a shuttle bus is laid on to take fans to the Stadium of Light. Large-screen TVs have their volume muted to be unobtrusive. Quiz nights are Tuesday and Wednesday. Home to an active golf society.
