The pub is located in a dip between two villages, known as Lapstone Bottom. The building was originally two cottages built circa 1740 and has been a hostelry for over 100 years. After being taken over by locals, the pub remained closed for over 3 years during which time it underwent a major refurbishment (increasing its size many fold), to finally reopen its doors in December 2020 (under Tier 2 Covid restrictions).
A spacious open plan pub with stylish modern decor and photos of the pub over the years on the walls. On entry you are greeted by a wide bar and some casual seating in front of a wood burner. The pub then extends to a rear eating area with a large open kitchen serving sumptuous pizzas. Beyond this is more seating outside under a big awning.
Pub opens at 10am (Mon-Sat) for the café, we believe the bar is open from noon.
