The East End Arms is owned by the former bass player of Dire Straits. Its small public bar has a large open fire, and a counter that is wide enough for only two stools. The smart restaurant has a wood-panelled dado, and its walls are covered with pictures of the famous. Behind the counter are stillaged the ales and cider, served straight from the cask. The pub has a very good reputation for its food; the menu is varied and changes daily.
