Friendly pub, popular with locals, with low beamed ceilings, white wood paneled walls, vintage local photos and a mixture of traditional and quirky decor. The L-shaped lounge bar and smaller public bar to the side serves a more interesting variety of beers and spirits than your usual Greene King pub. The menu is also better than usual with a variety of traditional home cooked food, plus jacket potatoes and sandwiches for lunch. Outside is a large covered porch with steps up to a patio with round garden benches and beyond that a long narrow garden with further seating.
