Victory

Opening hours

The biggest of the four traditional pubs in Hamble, and like them all, Grade II listed. The entrance straight off the narrow High Street presents you with a small room to the left with a few tables and the main bar to the right. Further round from this is a short staircase to an upper level restaurant area, the 'Poop Deck', with its own bar and an unusual sunken booth built into a dormer window. Sailing is, not surprisingly, a prevalent theme with a magnificent pencil sketch of HMS Victory and other frames depicting historical sailing moments. There is a large but almost entirely paved garden with flower tubs, split into two by a small car park. Access to the car park is tight and the public parking just uphill in the main square is an easier option.
