This friendly town centre pub opposite Winchester Guildhall offers a changing array of five real ales, mostly from local breweries, plus a real cider. Children are welcome in the bar until 8pm. At the rear of the pub there is an outdoor eating/drinking/smoking area which includes a converted double garage heated by an enormous log burner. Barbecues are held in the garden from 10.30pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and there is a late night menu from 10.30pm to 3am Sunday to Wednesday.
