King Alfred

The King Alfred is a grand building hidden away in residential Winchester and surrounded by streets of terraced houses, yet less than a 10 minute walk from the station. The windows are ornately etched and surrounded by many hanging baskets and troughs filled with colourful flowers. The interior is high quality, with a mixture of wooden and leather seats. The food menu is classic pub food with specials board and weekday deals. There is a large garden to the side with a children's play area and climbing frame. Accommodation is offered. Operated by the Little Pub Group, which has three pubs in Winchester, one in Sparsholt, and one in Frogham (NW New Forest).
