Modern pub almost next door to the Mayflower Theatre, and the closest to Southampton Railway Station. Reopened 09/05/2018 after being closed for about seven weeks while the pub was transferred from Greene King to Urban Village Pub Co. As of August 20th the pub closed again for a full refurbishment which included adopting the Urban Village house style and renaming the pub from the 'Encore' to 'Mayflower Village'. Officially reopened on Sunday 23rd September 2018. The main bar features much light wood, three handpumps on the bar, and a games area with a table tennis table (behind a sliding glass door to prevent errant ping pong balls escaping to the bar). A new feature is a new staircase leading down to a cellar bar & function room.
