Ship Inn

Opening hours

The Ship Inn dates from 1654, and is proud of its heritage; a board proudly displays the landlords and landladies who have been at the 'helm' of the pub since 1847. The pub décor reflects its nautical position of once being on the old Redbridge quayside at the top of Southampton Water - the quay is now long gone and the pub is firmly landlocked. The pub is deceptively big with many separate areas, all of which can be used for dining. A large open fireplace warms visitors in winter months. An extensive menu of home-cooked is served to complement the drinks on sale. Children are welcomed with their own menu, and a large garden to run around in (with Children's play area). A marquee in the garden supplements the skittle alley & function room.
