The Kingsland Tavern is one of Southampton's older pubs, there having been a pub on that site since the 1820s. It appears that little has changed since then; the décor is basic, the furniture straight out of a 1960s second-hand shop and it doesn't ring out a welcome. The sole handpump is hidden by a pillar (as though they are ashamed of it). On the plus side, there is a dartboard, pool table and (loud) jukebox.
