Originally built c.1700 the Three Crowns has been a pub since the early 18th Century, with a Victorian extension added c.1820. There is a main bar with a real fire plus a cider/snug bar. It has an excellent range of real ales, with at least two dark ales always present & Locale well represented. At least three ciders and one perry are served from a separate bar. As a "proper" pub with few noisy distractions, it's a popular destination for quiz nights, darts, cheese & chess clubs, etc. This multiple CAMRA Award winning pub has quarterly beer festivals which extend the range to 12 ales and 8 ciders. Food is limited to good old fashioned pub snacks, filled rolls and pork pies at the weekends with more substantial hot & cold snacks available at beer festivals
