Some years ago Hydes converted this former fish-shop into a pub. It has a narrow interior that broadens out towards the rear, the bar (accommodating seven hand-pumps) and a raised seating area. A new arrangement of seating was added recently to give more room at the front. Popular with drinkers and those who enjoy the weekly quizzes and weekend artists who add that touch of pizazz. Won Hydes' Best-Tenanted pub for 2010, and was runner-up in their Best-kept Cellar award.
