Beer Shop

Good stock of Belgian, German, and world beers alongside bottle-conditioned British beers. It’s a one room affair, with a bar at the back, shelves of bottles to the left and fridges to the right. The red walls add a warm touch and there’s plenty of seating. At the rear of the shop is the open stillage where up to six beers can be on sale either served by gravity or more often handpull. These can either be drunk on site or taken away in three, five, ten and twenty litre bag-in-box containers. A centrally located 50” TV performs the function of a totally free-of-charge video jukebox on which customers can select absolutely anything that is on YouTube. When the weather is good, a small number of tables and chairs are positioned outside to take advantage of the day. Interestingly, the draught beer list is maintained in real-time on the pub's website. If you are hungry, freshly-baked, home-made pizzas (for consumption on or off the premises) can be obtained from 5 till 9pm on Fri-Sat. NB as of January 2020 the pub is CASHLESS, ie it accepts CARDS ONLY.
